THE BEGINNER'S ENGLISH COURSE

The Beginner's English Course is for Spanish speaking students to prepare them to survive in an English-speaking society. The 2008 edition can be used to teach English to any language group with the aid of a bilingual teacher.

This book may be used as a correspondence course when taught by bilingual teachers OR as as classroom textbook. In Book One, the student will learn the English alphabet, the sounds of English vowels and consonants, and more than 300 of the most commonly used English words. These can be pronounced for the student on a cassette tape or a CD so that you can listen to them and repeat. As the student memorizes the vocabulary word, they will also learn how to use them in sentences.

There are three books in the WEI Beginner's English Course. By that time the last book is finished, the student will have about 1,200 words in his/her vocabulary and be able to advance to the intermediate level WEI English Course which covers the fundamentals of English grammar while using the English Bible as a source of illustrations. Since the Bible is the most famous book in the world, it is appropriate that we draw upon its content in our studies.
