Abstract: There was a new baptism. Pictures are available by clicking here - Aug-Sept 2010 (pdf file). God keeps adding souls to his church, and they study in an Adult class. Presently, the study is from Genesis focusing on the concepts of the Godhead, faith, and obedience.

Alfred is translating Ed Wharton's book on the "Church of Christ." This gives them a serious study guide. The process is being monitored by EEM, the Eastern Europe Mission resource for books for Europe.

A container of medical supplies have been received from Dallas, TX to aid those who experienced a flood last January in the North-Western area of Albania. The supplies will be administered by the Ministry of Health in Albania. Tom Bonner of Lushnja participated in the delivery.

Alfred reports that Alfred's mother and his family are experiencing peaceful times. His children are in school.

Dear Brethren,

I greet you and send my best wishes to you and your loved ones for 2011. May God's blessings be yours and enrich your lives and services in His Kingdom this New Year and always.

I would like to inform you and through you the local congregations where you serve that we are planning to have a special event at Adriatic church in Beach Area of Durres in April 2011, Lord's willing.

As you already know, we have made efforts to translate a very well known book in the Brotherhood aboard and bring it to Albanian Brethren for their study and use. The book is titled, "The Church of Christ - The Distinctive Nature of the New Testament Church" and its author is Edward Wharton, an instructor at Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX. We are planning to promote the Albanian version of Edward's book in April 2011.

Brother Wharton is willing and planning to come to Albania for that purpose. He is also planning to teach part of His book to Albanian local church leaders and further. We are convinced and assured that his teachings will be profitable for our personal work in particular and our local congregations in general. Brother John Massie is also coming with him and he is willing to teach as it will be required of him.

To accomplish that and to benefit from their visit and teachings, we are planning to have a lectureship with them of a retreat type somewhere in a resort hotel in Beach Area of Durres. Our thought is to have a 2-days retreat meeting starting on Thursday afternoon and ending on Saturday afternoon, in the 2nd or 3rd week of April 2011.

We pray for God's help on this event and for our common spiritual benefits from it. It will be required our desire and commitment as well as enough finances to accomplish this event. We are opened to any suggestion or other thoughts you might have. Feel free to share that with us, please.


This email is an invitation to you and your local church leaders and anyone of your local congregation as you see beneficial to take part on this event. We would like also to invite you to be part of the group which will make all the arrangements needed for this event. Our main purpose is to have fellowship with one another grounded in God's Word, strengthened through His Spirit and cherished by Lord's Love.

Later as the organizer group will fix the place, week, days, timing and finances needed we will let you know in more details. Thanking you for your understanding and cooperation we ask you to pray for our meeting in April 2011. Thank You.

Libri titullohet: "Kisha e Krishtit - Natyra Dalluese e Kishës së Testamentit të Ri" dhe autor i tij është Edward Wharton, një mësues në Institutin Biblik Ndërkombëtar Sunset në Lubbock të Teksasit në U.S. A. Ne po planifikojmë të promovojmë Versionin Shqip të librit të Edward në Prill 2011.

Vëlla Wharton është i vullnetshëm dhe planifikon të vijë në Shqipëri për këtë qvllim. Ai është gjithashtu duke planifikuar të jap mësime nga pjesë të librit të tij për udhëheqësit shqiptar të kishave lokale e më gjerë. Ne kemi bindjen dhe sigurinë se mësimet e tij do të jenë me shumë vlerë për punën e mëtejshme tonën në veçanti dhe të kishës në përgjithësi. Vëlla John Massie gjithashtu është duke planifikuar të vij me të dhe është i gatshëm të jap mësime sa do t'i kërkohet.

Mendimi ynë është që Takimi të filloj të Enjten në mbasdite dhe të përfundojë të Shtunën në mbasdite, në javën e II-të ose të III-të të Prillit.

Ne lutemi që Zoti do të na ndihmojë dhe ne do të përfitojmë shpirtërisht së bashku. Për të realizuar këtë kërkohet krahas dëshirës dhe angazhimeve tonë dhe financa të mjaftueshme. Ne jemi të hapur për ndonjë sygjerim apo mendim që ju mund të keni. Ndjehuni të lirë ta ndani atë me ne, ju lutem.

Ky email është një ftesë për ju dhe udhëheqësit e kishës tuaj lokale dhe për këdo nga bashkësitë tuaja ashtu si ju e shihni të përfitueshme për ta që të marrin pjesë në këtë takim. Beloved Brethren,

Greetings of love in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. His Grace and Peace be with You today and forever.

Expressing participants' thought, we gladly inform you that the Albanian Retreat of local churches of Christ in Albania, April 21-23, was a very special and joyful event and it brought great impact in the Lord's church and work in Albania. Thank God and all Glory be His!

As you already know the theme of the meeting was "The New Testament Church". Brother Edward Wharton, our keynote speaker, lectured on The Distinctive Nature of the New Testament Church. His lessons were focused on: The pattern principle of Christianity; The doctrine of teaching, the organizing structure and the worship of the New Testament Church. We were very blessed to have him speak and teach God's word to us. We are so very thankful to Brother Wharton. We pray that God will keep him healthy and use him in marvelous ways as he teaches His word in His Kingdom all over the world. Thank you, beloved Brother. May God keep blessing your service in His Kingdom.

His book: "The Church of Christ" translated in Albanian language was also spread out to the participants. The book came out from the publishing house just 3 days before the retreat started. We are so thankful to Eastern European Mission in Vienna, Austria, which supported the project of bringing Ed's book in Albanian version. I personally would like to give a special thankful note to Bart Rybinski and Scott Hayes of EEM and Bledi Valca, my fellow brother, of Tirana church. They coordinated the entire project and worked hard to bring its finalization on time. Thank you, beloved Brothers.

We are also very thankful to our guest speakers John Massie and Dino Roussos who also contributed with their teachings to our meeting. They taught on the mission, on the work and on the unity of the church. They are very important lessons of God's word which each one of us needs to listen to. Thank You, beloved John and Dino. You are indeed powerful servants and proclaimers of God's word. May God's word keep speaking through you.

The event was intended and indeed served to the purpose of Training and Encouraging of local leaders and workers in their ministry in the Lord's church in Albania. Through Teaching and Fellowship Program, we fully enjoyed the studying of God's word and the fellowship with one another. There were 50-60 participants who attended each day. Participants were native church leaders and gospel preachers and their wives as well, mature native church members from 11 local churches of Christ in Albania, and several missionaries who are working with local churches in Tirana city, Lushnja city and Korca city.

We considered the meeting a historical event in the life and work of the Lord's church in Albania. I confess to you that it helped us to grow in God's word and in loving one another. It also served to the establishing of a very good tradition: The Training and Encouraging of Lord's church in Albania. The need for this kind of event in the Lord's church and its work brought forth the decision to make it annual. This decision was announced and the theme of Albania Retreat of 2012 will be: "The Christian Family and its service in Christ."

Thank You so much for all your prayers and contributions for this event. I love you and I have full confidence in you and your care for the Lord's work in Albania. Allow me to encourage you and invite you to join our efforts in the Lord's mission in Albania as the Logo of our meeting says: "All Together, One church to build/One nation to change." May the Glory be proclaimed to our Glorious Lord in His Church.

I would also like to express my gratitude to my fellow native brothers, Bledi Valca, Cimi Kafexhiu, Ilir Kura, Sokol Haxhiu, to our fellow brother, Tom Bonner, missioner in Lushnja, and to my lovely wife, Diana, who were very helpful to me. c. Children of age 5-10 years (associated with their parents too): 50% of total charge cost, so 30 euro/child.

Note: Children of age 0-10 years will have children care service (Bible lesson and godly activities included) in cooperation with their parents.

2. Accommodation:
a. Full-time participants will be accommodated in a two single-beds room (or one double-bed room) with their mate-room choice.

b. Part-time participants have options to have one-day accommodation (half cost) or only food service.

c. Food service: one lunch cost is 10 euro and one dinner cost is 8 euro. They have to pay it cash at the time of food service of lunch/dinner.


Brethren,
For your information and remembering, last year, on April 2011, the retreat cost was 70 euro/person for adults and 35 euro/children of age 5-10 in 2-days full board accomodation at Tropikal Resort. We tried to do our best in our negotiations this year and we should be thankful for what we got, thank the Lord.

I encourage you to share the Program and the Information on the Albanian Retreat with your local membership and start making the list of participants asking them to chose their room mate. We will need to have the list of participants from your local congregations in order to finalize the arrangements and cooperate properly with Tropikal Resort managing service. We would like to have your list info on March 31 so, please, pay attention to this requirement.

Dear Brethren,

Greetings and my heart wishes to you and your loved ones.

First, I would like to thank Erik and Bledi for the nice meeting they welcomed and arranged for all of us today morning. I would also like to thank all participants for they contribution and servant spirit expressed in the meeting. It is my prayer that we always will seek to cooperate with one another and never compete with one another in whatever the Lord leads us to do and serve for His kingdom in Albania.

As I shared with you this morning specifically concerning the two special events we have arranged to have in April, I am sending to you through this email the Program of the first event (attached) which will be held on April 5-7 in the beach area of Durres. This info is in the addition to my previous email info, dated March 3, which I am also forwarding to you again (below) in case you haven't received it yet.

Dear Brethren,

Greetings and Blessings to you on the name of our Lord Christ Jesus.

We would like to share with you two special events we had today as we met and worshipped God with our Brethren at Adriatic church where we serve. Thank the Lord, we had a great and blessing time today in the morning.

We had a new baptism and new sister added to the church. her name is Ornela Dervishi. She is a very closed friend of our daughter, Yvonne. She is twenty years old and is studying at Tirana University for Information Technology. Yvonne got her friend in high school and grew closer in fellowship with her. We have taught her from the Bible and proclaimed the gospel message to her. She also have attended regularly Adriatic church life. Today morning, she confessed her faith in Jesus before the Brethren at Adriatic church. Then, we helped her to be baptised in the name of Jesus for forgiveness of her sins. The baptism was performed right after the morning meeting in the Adriatic sea next to Adriatic church building. There was much joy among us and thank the Lord of her faith and obedience to His call. We beg your prayers on her behalf.

We also had the Graduation of several students of Adriatic Christian Academy. They are six teenager girls who have been studying English and Bible with us for two academic years. Their names are Onejda Elezi, Artida Murati, Armela Murati, Anxhela Gega, Xhulia Mema, Elsa Murataj. They are of age 15 and 16. We thank God of their growth and accomplishment. May He guide them to the Savior as we continue to teach them the truth. Your prayers on their behalves is very appreciated too. Thank God, the academy is producing good fruits and become a blessing to the Adriatic church and the Lord's work in the community of beach area in Durres.

Dear Brethren,

Greetings from Albania!

We greet you in the Lord and we pray for your welfare in Him. We would like to share with you the joy of salvation which we all share in the Lord Jesus, our Savior. His salvation is wonderful and so very joyful.

We, at Adriatic Church of Christ in the Beach area of Durres, experienced two joyful days as we met to worship and lift up our Lord and Savior in His Day.

On October 14, 2012, we had Luan and Monika standing up and confessing their trust in Jesus. They responded to the gospel call through their baptism in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins. We joyfully helped them to be baptised in the water of Adriatic Sea, next by the Adriatic church building. Our joy over passed the weather of clouds and rains and the rough waves of the sea. Luan and Monika are a young couple with two sweet little children of age 3 and 6. Luan is a military officer while Monika is a financial manager in a distributing oil company. We thank the Lord of them and we pray for His Blessings upon them as they faithful walk with Him.

On October 21, 2012 (just today in the morning) we had Kujtim and Lili, another couple, who stood up and confessed their trust in Jesus. Accepting their sinful status, they responded to the gospel call by asking to be baptised in His name. We all sang and praised the Lord and joyfully helped them to be baptised in the water of Adriatic Sea. Kujtim and Lili are a couple of two adult children. Their children are married. At present, their families are living and working in Italy, across the Adriatic Sea shore of Albania. Today our joy was multiplied by the warm and sunny weather and the calm water sea, thank God.

Dear Brethren,

We just wanted to share with You these two joyful days of salvation which we experienced. May The Lord multiply the joy of salvation as we all share His gospel. We thank Him and we praise Him wholeheartedly. He is so Very Good and so Very Great. Have a Wonderful Day as You meet and Glorify His Name!
